Anna Morocco is a creative designer-maker.

DESIGN PRACTICE:

Anna believes in open source and collective practice whereby project elements are completed in stages and are documented. Some key principles of this style of practice are to - share information resources and tools; decentralise authorship; operate within a gift economy (and existing economies); apply communal effort; and circulate, promote and evaluate the work within the collective.

Anna works chiefly with what she calls re-sourced materials - reused, recycled, and regenerated materials. She is a member of The Community - Perth - a collective of visual and musical creatives ( and wordsmiths ) ; she is a fan of thesauruses so what's not bloody obvious at first is metaphorically woven into her work.

With a formative background in permaculture, visual art and building design, she is motivated by the next wave of Supercyclers; whose basis for design revolves around minimising effort and consumptive use and transitioning to sustainability. Anna graduated from Central Institute of Technology in Building Design and Technology and also holds a certificate IV in Printing and Graphic Arts.
